FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier groups, schedule released

FLASHPOINT has released the groups and the schedule for the upcoming Global Qualifier, which will be held in Los Angeles.
The eight competing teams, six qualified and two invited, have been split into two double-elimination groups, which were determined by a combination of HLTV.org's world rankings and the results in the online qualifiers for the applicable teams.
The opening round of matches will feature best-of-one games, while the rest of the tournament will be played in a best-of-three format.

No.1 seed BIG have been pitted against DETONA, who were invited to the qualifier following Isurus' withdrawal. The new Copenhagen Flames roster, featuring Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Ismail "refrezh" Ali, will make its first official appearance against Brazilian side Redemption POA, who are attending their second international LAN after competing at last year's DreamHack Open Rio stop.
The FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier will take place at the FACEIT Studio in Los Angeles from March 3-5. The top two teams from both groups will advance to the all-deciding semi-finals, from which the winning sides will secure entry into the league, joining the ten franchise partners.
